Our Special Guest for the 2013 Just Effing Entertain Me Screenwriting Competition is Ken Nolan, the writer of the adaptation of Black Hawk Down, directed by Ridley Scott and the upcoming Thunder Road, with Gerard Butler, Matthew McConaughey and Sam Worthington.
I’ve been emailing with Ken and he is hilarious, humble and very, very plugged in. And he’s excited to meet you, have lunch and talk about what it’s like being a working screenwriter in Hollywood. He’s already asked me if he can read your script and how he can help you out. Ken joins a stellar list of A-list writers who have been kind enough to lunch with the Grand Prize winners of Just Effing Entertain Me, like: Steve Faber (Wedding Crashers), David Arata (Children of Men), Stephen Susco (The Grudge), and Sheldon Turner (Up in the Air, Xmen: First Class) – to name only a few.
The early bird deadline is April 15th so take advantage of the price break. Regular deadline June 1st, Late deadline June 15th and Final Procrastinator Deadline is July 1st.
Get your script ready, put the competition on your calendar and get ready to enjoy the most unique, fun and helpful Grand Prize out there. Winning is just the beginning as Matt Morgan, last year’s winner, will tell you. Matt signed with ICM less than six weeks after his win.
